"Great food. 6 waitresses walked past me at least 4 times each before someone asked if we had been helped. Other than the long wait, it's worth the visit. Everything was great. Kind staff, clean and surprising, it didn't smell like strong seafood or ocean and it's right on the water. Inside and outside seating available. No ramps for elderly."

"I was chatting with one of the locals and they told me I absolutely had to try this place so jumped in my car to go see what its about. Heads up parking is complicated but be patient and you will be fine. I sat at the bar and the bartender immediately introduced herself and asked my drink order so I went for an Old Fashioned. I was shocked to see her muddle an orange slice. Regrettably the bar did not have the large cube of ice. All in all the drink was not bad because it did tast good but it just was not an old fashioned. I then ordered some raw oysters because you cannot be on the James River and not have them. It's like goung to Mexico and not having tocos. Hands down those were the biggest James river oysters I have ever had and they were meaty with mild brinny flavor. I went with a little spirits of lemon and trust me thats all the need. They were badass. For dinner I chose one of the specialties, flounder stuffed with blackfin crab. What arrived was an icecream scoop of crab that was under a filet of flounder. I admit the presentation was very rustic but sometimes that is just the style on that carries the flavor. In this case the flavor was almost entirely missing. You could see the colors of seasoning on it but it was simply bland. It tasted like boiled fish, no salt, no spice, no flavor, no love. It was not bad but it was not good. Sorry guys but I simply felt let down."

"Found this gem and it's the perfect occasional date night spot for my boyfriend and I. We always eat outside with the beautiful view. The food tastes fresh and delicious. The salmon I got on our last visit was fall-apart juicy and tender. I don't even care for crab much but I tried their crab dip and it was really nice! Their mixed drinks usually come with a little rubber duckie that you can keep! So cute. And I must always have a slice of that homemade key lime pie. I hardly ever see it on a menu and it is my favorite kind of pie. So worth. I love when we go here!"

"The sunset was amazing from their dining room and the decor had my wife and I ready for an excellent meal. We started out with drinks and a couple of appetizers. I had the oysters Rockefeller which actually tasted pretty good and the wife had a bowl of She-crab soup. Unfortunately it had absolutely no flavor… even after adding what they called old bay was extremely bland. For my main course, I had the fried shrimp plate. They were supposed to be lightly breaded… no breading and only 10 shrimp, which they failed to remove the vein. In my eyes that’s a complete failure from kitchen staff. My wife had the fried seafood platter. The shrimp were the same as mine. To be honest my wife said the best thing on her plate was the hush puppies. The oysters were flavorless along with the flounder which was an upgrade. The only one to enjoy the meal was a stray cat in the parking lot. I would avoid this place as best as you can. I know I will."
